Finite Element Analysis of Impression Creep on P91

چکیده
Abstract Impression creep is a versatile technique that used nowadays for studying the deformation of different materials and there no tertiary stage in this method; it's non-destructive process. The present work deals with finite element analysis plastic corresponding to impression P91 steel. In FE model, 3D deformable body as specimen along rigid hollow cylindrical indenter 0.07 fillet. effect sizes was studied, diameter changed from 10mm,15mm, 20mm whereas 1mm,1.5mm, 2mm respectively. Moreover, it found when punch increased induced stress reduced. It observed on specimen, however, 1mm 1.5mm 2mm, reduced by approximately 10% 20%, simulation run 100 hours. Furthermore, optimum distance between two impressions steel studied indenters altered 10mm,8mm,6mm 4mm respectively same loading boundary conditions, mesh size. contact deformations at 4mm.For we can perform tests apart.

متن کاملDetermination of Creep Properties for P91 Weldment Materials at 625c
The work presented in this paper is related to the determination of the creep properties for a P91 pipe weldment at 625 C, which forms part of a collaborative European project (Weldon). A Kachanov type, one damage variable, multi-axial material behaviour model was used to represent the material creep behaviour. The uniaxial material constants for the parent material and weld metal were determin...
متن کاملEvaluation of current methods for creep analysis and impression creep testing of power plant steels
Destructive testing of creep exposed components is a powerful tool for evaluation of remaining lifetime of high temperature pipe systems. The most common destructive evaluation method used today is uniaxial creep testing. Uniaxial creep tests can produce accurate creep curves but the test method has some drawbacks such as costliness and long testing times. It also demands large sample material ...
متن کاملThe development of finite element analysis software for creep damage analysis
The development and application of computational creep damage is very active among research community and high temperature industry. This paper presents a development and preliminary validation of in-house finite element analysis software for creep damage analysis. The Fortran 90 and existing finite element library were adopted and used in the software development. The validation case study was...
متن کاملFinite element modeling of creep deformation in cellular metals
The creep of reticulated metallic foams is studied through the finite element method using three-dimensional, periodic unit cells with four different architectures characterized by struts which deform primarily by: (i) simple bending, (ii) compression, (iii) a combination of simple bending and compression and (iv) double bending (for Kelvin space-filling tetrakaidecahedra). The creep behavior o...
